The theme this week is Disney Food and Drink. This probably is not the most traditional take on this topic but it is one of my favorite shots ever.
The bats of Disney’s Animal Kingdom live in the Cliffs of Anandapur exhibit, part of the Maharajah Jungle Trek in the park’s Asia-themed area. The trek includes habitats for komodo dragons, tapirs, primates, tigers, hoofed animals, and a variety of birds in a walk-through aviary. But it’s the Malayan flying fox that is probably my favorite to watch.
Doesn’t he just have the cutest face!
Bats completely freak me out – I'm glad you told me where they are so I can avoid that part of Animal Kingdom!! 🙂 He certainly looks like he's enjoying his lunch though!
My husband is the same way. Don't worry about this trail. You don't have to enter the bat house. You can walk around it and never go in. But if you do enter it is not like a bat cave. It is open and as you can see from my photo very sunny. That may help with the freak out. I was also told by the CMs that these bats are not nocturnal.
Great pic and clever idea for this weeks theme!
His lunch is beautiful! So colorful! What a great shot!
Love this!! What a great shot! He is cute–even if he is a bat!
LOVE this photo! He is so cute. 🙂
Great pic, so close up you can see his face and his food 😉
Great shot! I love visiting these guys during our trips. They're fascinating to watch, and yes, I do consider them to be “cute” 🙂
That is great! I love it
Great shot and looks like a beautiful fruit kabob
That is a great shot!! I love it!!
Beautiful shot and a cute bat! Never thought I'd ever say that about a bat. I love how it looks like he's guarding his fruit kabob.
Maharajah Jungle Trek is one of my favorite things about Disney's Animal Kingdom. This is such a great shot! He's looking right at you! 🙂
