Welcome to those of you joining me from The Many Adventures of a Dinsey-Lovin’ Spectrum Mom and those of you just hopping aboard. I am the 4th stop on out Magical Blogorail. So sit back and enjoy.
This month we were asked to share what we thought a perfect afternoon was at Walt Disney World. I thought about this for a while and thought about all the things we do as a family. I love all those memories! But a perfect afternoon would be doing things my family may not want to do. So if I could have an afternoon all to myself with no plans or commitments, here is what I would do…
To kick it off, I head to the spa. Now I have tried multiple spas on property but for the perfect afternoon I am heading to the Spa at Saratoga Springs for a massage and facial! Their spa is my favorite because there is a lot of room to lounge and just take it easy. And being right next to the main pool makes it perfect for taking a dip before or after. (Hint: If you are a DVC member you get 20% off on select services – so worth it!)
After my massage I head off to doing something I never get enough of. Taking photos!
Typically I take a photo here and there as I am walking from place to place with my family. I am thrilled when someone has to use the restroom because I can actually stop for a moment and take multiple photos of a single area. So in my perfect afternoon I can wander wherever I want and take as long as I want to take photos. I can even let people pass me in the queue lines!
To cap off my afternoon, I head to Epcot and over to World Showcase. I will get a “grown-up slushie” (Grand Marnier Slush) in France and sit at one of their tables along the water and just people watch as the sun begins to set.
Thank you for joining me on my perfect afternoon. Now to see if I can make it a reality…

Yes, people watching in World Showcase is perhaps my favorite past time…
I love people watching at Disney. I had a Grey Goose Slush for the first time last month, loved it!

Can I come too? Can we make it a mom's day out?!
Great post, Mary. I love the Grey Goose Slush, sound right up my alley. The spa also sounds very nice..
You just described exactly what I would do if I had a day to myself in the parks, especially the picture taking. You may already know this, but the Grey Goose Citron Slush is one of my favorite drinks in Epcot!
