Welcome to those of you joining me from The Magical Mouse Pad and those of you just hopping aboard. I am the 2nd stop on our Magical Blogorail.

I have to start with a huge thank you for Blogorail Black for letting me tag along with them this month.  When I heard favorite attraction music was the topic I had to jump aboard!

The Music Behind the Disney Jungle Cruise

My all time favorite attraction music is The Jungle Cruise Boathouse Loop.  Wait, are you thinking that there is no music on the ride?  Well you would be right but have you ever heard the loop that is played when you are waiting on line?

Disney Jungle Cruise Elephant Safari Company

Looking for Adventure

While you are waiting tune into the Global Brodcasting Service – serving remote outposts since 1928. Skipper Albert AWOL, the Voice of the Jungle, brings you music from the 1920’s intertwines with news and commentary that provide you insight into your upcoming Jungle Cruise.

Some of my favorite lines include:

  • “Remember when it comes to sleeping sickness prevention is the only cure. That’s mosquito netting at Trader Sams.”
  • “This just in. A Jungle Cruise Skipper reports spotting the lost safari near the African belt. As you may recall this safari has remained missing longer yet had more sitings than any other in history.”
  • “These same rains have cause Schwitxer Falls to run at 150% of normal. Resulting in dangerous currents on nearby waterways . All Skippers are advised to proceed with caution.”
  • “An entire Jungle Cruise tour group has disappeared in the river front region. Authorities are trying to determine there exact whereabouts. It is the fourth reported incident invloving the Jungle Cruise this month.”
  • “In the lake district, a group of hunters claims that all of their supplies , equioment, and their transport were lost when a group of mad gorillas invaded their camp.”

Glad I wasn’t on that Cruise

But in addition to the commentary there is great music and jungle sounds that makes you think you are about to go on an expedition in classic 1920’s fashion. Songs like As Time Goes By and Sentimental Journey put you in a perfect mood to board the boat and experience the back side of water.

I love it this track so much that it is on my ipod and is regularly played at work. So please take a moment to listen in next time you are in line. And tell Skipper Bill I said hello.

Thank you for joining me today. Your next stop on the Magical Blogorail Loop is The Disney Chick.
