This is my third post on Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party and I will share with you our experience with Cookies and Hot Chocolate. You may think that this is an odd subject to have an entire post on but you will see it had a definite impact (both bad and good) on our experience at the part.

Let me start with the negative  – the map.  The map is really pretty and is great at telling you about special events but sucked at helping you locate a Cookie and Hot chocolate stand.  They don’t tell list out where the stand will be but instead put an icon over a general area.  Completely frustrating.

I am not kidding you – we searched for close to half an hour before I spotted the first one.  They are usually in crossways and the balloons can be hard to see in the dark and completely impossible to see at dusk.  I am not sure if they do this so they can change locations as needed but it was really frustrating.

We finally located one I believe in Adventureland and I felt superior because I spotted it first.

The lines are very long but move pretty quickly.  The night we went we were offered Snickerdoodles and Hot Chocolate.  I am not sure if they change the cookie option nightly. Since our little man is lactose intolerant we had to ask if the hot chocolate was made with milk or water.
This is my first experience actually talking to a Cast Member about food issues since we can usually mitigate lactose without getting a special meal.  All I can say is the Cast Members are fantastic about this and are well prepared.  They woman we spoke to pulled out a binder showing ever ingredient in every item being served at that location.  We found out the hot chocolate is Nestles made with water.  But since there was still dried milk in it the Cast Member got our guy a cup of juice instead.  Cast Members rock!

The cookies we really good and I could not get a photo before they were eaten.  But the cookies were definitely a hit with my husband and son.  I am not a Snickerdoodle fan so I enjoyed my hot chocolate as we wandered the park..

Thank you for joining me today.
