The Best Snacks You Can Find Exclusively at Disney’s Hollywood Studios

The 3 Don't Miss Snacks at Disney's Hollywood Studios

One of my favorite things to do is to grab a snack in the parks as I wander about.  The snack could take the place of a meal or just hold me over a bit. Each park has snacks that they are know for and ones that people will go out of there way to get.  Let’s take a look at the best snacks at Disney’s Hollywood Studios.

Welcome to the first stop aboard Magical Blogorail Orange. Enjoy the ride as we share our top 3 snacks from the Disney Parks.

Must Have Snack No 1 : Popcorn in Souvenir Buckets (Hollywood Boulevard)

Disney popcorn is known as some of the best in the world.  People swear that somehow Disney makes it extra special and they look forward to it every trip.  They say they best popcorn on property is right at the entrance to the Magic Kingdom.

That may be true but the popcorn anywhere on property is worth the snack credit! When in Disney’s Hollywood Studios head right up Hollywood  Boulevard and grab a bucket of fresh pop.

You can also feel slightly less guilty with this snack.  Disney popcorn is naturally gluten-free and since it is popped in coconut, corn, and canola oil, it is also vegan. Topped with kosher salt and it is the perfect snack to wander the Hollywood Studios with.Disney's Hollywood Studios - Star Wars Weekends Collector Popcorn Buckets

To make it extra special try it in one a souvenir buckets.  During Star Wars Weekends you can find a limited edition popcorn bucket.  Years pas have had R2-D2 and Darth Vader.  For 2015, they have introduced the Han Solo in carbonite bucket.

Must Have Snack No 2 : Butterfinger Cupcake (Starring Roles Cafe)

At the corner of Hollywood Boulevard and Sunset Boulevard you will find the best cupcake within Starring Rolls Cafe. This cupcake is not for the faint of heart as it is huge.

It is a chocolate cupcake with a mound (yes, mound) of vanilla frosting on top that is then covered in crushed butterfinger bars.  And if that is not enough, peek inside and you will find a layer of fudge frosting.

This cupcake is really meant for two but more than person has been know to take it on alone.

In addition to this wonderful cupcake, Starring Roles Cafe features variety of fresh baked goods and is one of the few places open for breakfast.   Seating is outdoors and limited but it is a great place to grab a bite anytime of day.

Must Have Snack No 3 : Carrot Cake Cookie  (Sweet Spells)

The BEST snack in the Hollywood Studios is a ‘cookie’ that is the size of your head – the infamous carrot cake cookie.  You used to be able to find this bit of heaven a a cozy bookstore coffee shop at called the Writer’s Stop at the front end of the streets of America.

But with the addition of Toy Story and Star Wars land The Writer’s Stop has closed and the carrot cake cookie has been relocated to Sweet Spells on Sunset Boulevard.

The carrot cake cookie is made from two LARGE carrot cake cookies that are soft and cake like.  Sandwiched between them is a thick rich cream cheese filling

This cookie is not for those watching what they eat but is a sinful splurge while on vacation.   It’s one of those desserts you can only have once in a while.

Must Have Snack Bonus Snack : Snowball (Holidays Only)

Since this one is seasonal it is a bonus snack.

If you are at Walt Disney World at Christmas time visiting the Osborne Family Spectacle of Dancing Lights was a must (still sad about it ending).

During the holidays the parks offer a bit of extra merriment with inspired drink concoctions (alcoholic and non).  My favorite can be found at Yuletide Cheer towards the back of Pixar Place.  Here they offer a selection of holiday cocktails.  But the best one is the Snowball.

This creamy cocktail includes Kahlua, Bailey’s Irish Cream, Amaretto, Half and Half, Whipped Cream, and a sprinkle of nutmeg.  It will definitely make the season merry and bright.
