Disneyland Guide for Walt Disney World Lovers – TOP 5 MUST EATS

Disneyland Guide for Wal Disney World Lovers - Top 5 Must Eats Hi there, I’m Shannon from Scotty Girl Design and today I’m sharing my top 5 favorite things to eat and ride at the Disneyland Resort.

Especially for those of you who have only had the chance to visit Walt Disney World, I hope this post will be helpful to you when you make your first visit to Disneyland. For those of you who visit Disneyland often, I’m sure you’ll recognize some of these favorites and maybe even find out something new.

Well, let’s get started!

Of course there are popular treats we all know about that are available on both coasts like Dole whips and churros. But I won’t be talking about those today. Instead, I’m highlighting 5 eats that you can only find at the Disneyland Resort (to the best of my knowledge).

1: Fried Green Tomato Sandwich – Hungry Bear Restaurant, Disneyland

If you like fried green tomatoes, you will love this sandwich. If you’re like me and you aren’t the biggest fan of tomatoes, you will still LOVE this sandwich! The havarti and a spicy remoulade is really makes this sandwich sing.

2: Carthay Circle Fried Biscuits – Carthay Circle Theater, California Adventure

It’s the signature appetizer for a reason: a fried biscuit filled with bacon, jalapeno and cheese and served with apricot honey butter.  My mouth is watering just thinking about them.

My husband and I always plan on one nice sit-down meal while vacationing at the resort and usually that means lunch at Carthay just so I can have these biscuits.

Just make sure they bring them to you table piping hot – they lose their awesomeness once they go cold.Carthay Circle Fried Biscuits - Carthay Circle Theater, California Adventure

3: Apple & Cheddar Salad – Village Haus, Disneyland

Let’s be honest, there aren’t tons of healthy options at the resort. But that also doesn’t meant there are zero. My favorite light and fresh meal is this apple & cheddar salad. It comes with a honey yogurt dressing and has plenty of raisins and pecans to keep it interesting.

I actually like this salad so much that I make my own at-home version for when I get a craving for it.

4: Choose-Your-Own Hand Dipped Ice Cream Bars – Clarabelle’s, California Adventure

What’s better than a delicious, frozen ice cream bar in the middle of summer at Disneyland? One where you can make your own! Claribelle’s lets you choose the ice cream, the chocolate coating flavor, and what topping you want.

I always go for a vanilla ice cream bar with dark chocolate coating and chocolate chips. It’s sooooo good! But fair warning, these bars are large and messy.

5: Trader Sams Enchanted Tiki Bar – Disneyland Hotel

So I know I said top 5 “eats”, but I can’t leave out this little gem. Thinking of relaxing inside the Enchanted Tiki Room while sipping a Mai-Tai. Sound good?

Then you’ll love Trader Sams. They have really tasty snacks and drinks (including non-alcoholic) and an unforgettable ambiance. My husband and I usually visit at least once per trip, especially during summer to get out of the heat.

I look forward to tomato season… partially so I’ll have access to green tomatoes.  Love em, especially in sandwiches
