Scrapbookers are notorious for having too much stuff.  We buy things because they are just too cute or it is the latest fad.  I wish I had a nickel every time someone said I have too much stuff already and I can’t move on until I use what I have.

There are so many pictures out there not going into albums because people have to use the scrapbook material they already have.  Remember, the pictures are the most important thing.  After many years of accumulating supplies I have now become a minimalist.  I only buy what I am  using for the project at hand.

With that said, there is stuff we need to store.  I was a Creative Memories Consultant so I do recommend their products but there are also many other vendors out there with quality products.

But here are my top organization items:

1. Scrapbooking Tote

The tote I use is over kill but I can’t live with out it.  I am not kidding you when I say I can put everything in it.  I went to a crop where I actually unloaded all of my supplies and then a bottle of wine. People said it reminded them of Mary Poppin’s carpet bag.  What I think you need is a big enough bag to carry your album, tools, embellishments and paper to a crop.  If you can get down to one bag you have won!

It Holds A Lot!

2. Tool Case

I really can’t live without this!  These things are great and I have even bought a couple for non-scrapbooking uses.  The value here is keeping tools contained so they do not fall to the bottom of bags, cut or glue something by accident, or get lost completely.  Mine currently holds: tapes, glues, scissors, extra blades for cutters, pens, and cricut tools.  There are other cases for larger sized tools, but this is the one I rely on the most.

3. Paper Organizer

I organize my paper my color palette in an organizer from Creative Memories.  Honestly, I do not use this product as designed.  I group my solid paper into color palettes and my printed paper remains in their kit or in a specific theme.

The cool thing about the folders I use is I can keep my scraps (you can also put in stickers, photo mats, etc.) with my full sheets meaning I get the most bang for my scrapbooking buck.  I also like that I can reach in a just pull out a single set at a time.  Seems to keep my scrapbooking area cleaner than in the past.  They do offer a box for the folder that works great, but if you have a good scrapbooking tote you can just put them in there.

Well those are my top four.  There are other great organizational options out there but these are my must haves!  I would love to hear what your must have is.
