Let me share with you what I do when I can’t sleep – I take resort photos!! How can you beat knowing that no one will be in your shots or a family member won’t be dragging you away to do something else. You can take all the time in the world to explore the resorts and take some fantastic shots. Here are some from a 5 am photo shoot at Pop Century.
Front entrance of the resort with no buses to be seen – taken from the middle of the driveway. (you can’t do that during the day)
I took this photo laying on the sidewalk. I wonder if anyone saw me and questioned my sanity?
Hippity Dippity Pool!! Have you ever seen it so peaceful?
Looking towards the 50′s building.
Goofy splash pad.
Mickey phone!!
This was outside our building. We love staying in the 70′s. You can get a quiet lake room that is still close to the lobby.
Just so you know I took all of these shots with your basic point and shoot (Canon Elph) camera. I did use the timer and a sturdy surface to eliminate my hand shaking so I could get great night shots. I think I used everything to help me out: chairs, tables, ledges, trashcans, bushes, and even the ground.
Hopefully I have inspired other morning people to get out and take photos while you let the others get their sleep.
Great photos and idea! I think I may try this on our next visit to WDW.
Are you also a fellow morning person?
Great pics! I'm usually so exhausted that I don't have that problem at Disney… But, that's a great idea!
no life
Wow! Beautiful shots! You've inspired me to try getting up early to take snaps! (Whether I'll even manage it is another story! 😛 lol!)
These are gorgeous! I love them
This is a great idea, and great photos!! At 5 am when I am up and everyone else is snoozing I am getting ready for our day at the parks and getting ready to wake everyone up so we can catch that first bus!!
Love that idea! I usually get up and wander too or take whoever's up with me (usually the boys) so Daddy can sleep a little more.
