This month’s topic is a bit tricky for me as my husband is a travel agent for Off to Neverland Travel. He takes care of most of the details. My only responsibility is booking the room if we are using our DVC (Disney Vacation Club) points.
I will have to say having a travel agent in the house does help out and let’s me off the hook with planning or feeling guilty when I want to change something.
This week is a perfect example. I have a solo trip planned for this upcoming weekend (Mar 1-4) to meet up with some friends and take photos. I have a reservation for Animal Kingdom Lodge with the DVC points, a flight scheduled, and arranged Magical Express. I only have two meals scheduled because they are with friends. Other than those two things I am fancy free for the weekend.
Saturday night I mucked it all up and came to the realization that I really really really wanted to be at Disney World for the One More Day promotion. (Nothing like last minute)
I had no DVC points at my disposal so I turned to my husband and said ‘oh, powerful travel agent what can you do?‘ Boy did he came through!!! In 20 minutes he had changed my flight to the first one out on Feb 29th (with only a $75 change fee) and got me an $86 passholder rate at All Star Sports for that night. He also updated my tour planning documents and could even have booked my dining for that extra day. All this without me lifting a finger!

That’s how I roll when planning…how about you?

How handy for you to have a travel agent in the family. Ashley is already figuring out that this can be a perk, as we're working on planning a “winter getaway” trip for her and a friend. I love that I can be ok with sending her down there on her own – unlike most other destinations she could choose to go. Your trip sounds MARVELOUS!
I like how you roll!! Last minute is my favorite way to go!! I can't wait to read all about your trip!!
I jokingly mentioned to Pierre this morning I should have planned to be there. His response – see how much it will cost! I guess I should have asked sooner because I just checked flights and it would cost $900 just to get there. 🙂 I hope you enjoy every second of your solo trip and the 24 hours in Disney! I can't wait to read about it!
How nice to have a hubby to do that for you!! I do good just to have mine say we can go. Have a fabulous time, I am super jealous!!
I'm so envious, not only of your travel agent “connection” but of your plans to do Disney24! Have fun!

I hope you have a fantastic trip!! Enjoy #Disney24
WOW! What a husband!!! Hope you had a wonderful time! I was thinking of you while I was on my solo trip at DL for One More Disney Day.
