This article ws written by Melissa of Disney on Wheels  and was originally posted on Febraury 5th 2013 as part of her Disney Dream Cruise Trip Report.  First of all I have yet to take a cruise so I loved all her cruise posts from that perspective but this post stood out.   It really showed how much thought Disney put into every detail of the ship so it welcomed everyone.   Enjoy…

I really can’t say enough good things about our stateroom on the Disney Dream. I didn’t want to leave! {tweet this}

Let’s start with the door. To enter the room all you have to do is tap your card on the scanner and the door opens automatically and then will close on its own. There is a button inside the room that will open the door for you when you are ready to leave. It was really convenient the times I went in and out without Drew.

The stateroom was huge so there was plenty of space between all of the furniture. The bed was a little high but I could still get in and out pretty easily. There was also enough space under the bed to store our suitcases.

The dresser area was at a good height and made it easy to use when I was getting ready for the day.

The right side of the closet had a great feature where you could pull down the bar that holds your clothes. It was nice being able to get to things myself. There was also plenty of drawers next to the closet and next to the dresser that I could use.

To get into the bathroom there was a slight ramp but it was easy to get in and out.

The shower was easy to get to. I did have to get Drew to adjust the shower head so I could reach it. It was nice that there were drains around the shower so the floor doesn’t get too wet.

The sink was also easy to get to.

Keep in mind that your stateroom might not be exactly like this one but it will probably have most if not all of the accessible features. Like I said, I loved the room and was definitely a home away from home. I can’t wait to sail away with Disney again in the future. {tweet this}
