Today Little Man and I decided to do crafts.  Since I have moved to digital for Scrapbooking I always love to get my hands dirty and make something for fun.  We started with just coloring when I decided we needed something better.

So I pulled up the computer and headed over to Disney Junior and asked Little Man what character he wanted to go for.  He chose Jake and the Neverland Pirates.  So we headed that way and chose the Coloring & Create Section.

Once there we found this great Make Your Own Pirate Hat.  I have some printer paper that is 90 lb so it is thicker (more like cardstock) for these types of projects.   Our printer was running low on ink but good news is Little Man is not particular about the colors matching exactly.

The cuts are pretty simple so most older kids should have no problems.  But Little Man is still not there so we also printed out a coloring page for him to work on while I cut out the hat.  The best part of this quick project was I only needed scissors and glue (in my case I used double sided scrapbooking tape because it was handy).

One it was completed he was off and running.  But I do think he has just as much fun running through the house tormenting the cats with an old cartridge from my tape runner.

Even at lunch he was still requesting to wear his hat.  So overall I think this was a success and a Mom life saver when you need something to keep their attention for a bit.
