About the Resort
Coronado Springs is a resort built around the romance of Spanish-colonial Mexico. It is made up of three distinct areas around a 22-acre lake.
- Brightly colored Casitas – The Casitas village or “Little Houses” remind you of those commonly found in Sante Fe or Monterey.
- Rustic Ranchos- The Ranchos have a more rustic and rural flavor to them. The landscaping is reminiscent of the deserts in the southwest and northern Mexico.
- Beachfront Cabanas – The Cabanas take you to the Mexican beachfront with light and airy decor.

The Cabanas Rooms
The standard view room we stayed in was in building 8-A in the Cabanas section located centraly with short walks to the main Building, El Centro, and the pool and recreation area, The Dig Site.

As you enter the room you are immediately greeted with a light and airy feel of being in a beach front resort along the Mexican coast.
Entering Room 8207
Our room, 8207, was also a corner room. This meant we had two extra windows that let in extra light and made you feel like the room was larger than the 314 square feet that they were.
The Two Extra Windows on a Corner Room Make It Seem Larger
The room has two queen beds with VERY SOFT mattresses (a little too soft for us, I think they took pillow top to a new extrement). Another plus is that each bed had 4 pillow so there is minimal fighting for those that want extra.
As with any hotel you can find little bits of Disney magic everywhere.
Mickey Towel Animal
I love this one of the hidden Mickey on the pillow and bed runner.

Being that this is also a business hotel, you are going to find a desk in you room complete with lamp and power strip (very handy for plugging in our multitudes of electronics).
Desk and Ottomans
Desk with Mounted Power Strip
There is ample storage space with the 6 drawer dresser under the TV. There is also a mini-fridge, coffee maker and ice bucket for your use during your stay.
Entertainment Center and Dresser
Most moderates have curtains separating the vanity and restroom from the rest of the room. At Disney’s Coronado Springs Resort you get sliding solid doors. This is really nice if someone needs to get up early or come in late.
Sliding Doors to the Vanity and Restroom
The closet it open but has ample space to hand everything you need, store luggage or iron a shirt. There is also a small safe for your use. It is not large enough for a laptop by your other valuables should fit nicely.
Ample Closet Space
The vanity is made up of a single sink. There is quite a bit of counter space to hold all of your items but there is no storage underneath.
Single Sink Vanity
Toiletries include the traditional Disney branded H2O products.

The bathroom is minimal and lack luster. It has everything you need to get going in the morning.

Hope you enjoyed this tour of our room at Disney’s Coronado Spring Resort. I would recommend it for business people and families alike.
