Welcome to the first stop aboard Magical Blogorail Orange. Enjoy the ride as we share our Disney side.
I think if you talk to any Disney oriented blogger you find that they live their #DisneySide everyday – it is just a part of who they are. They may carry a Disney handbag (I have 2), have Disney photos all around their house, or decorate their office with Disney prints. It is just part of who they are.
I am one of these Disney Bloggers that live Disney so when I heard about the new Disney Side promotion I knew this was for me. I headed over to the site and began taking the ‘Reveal You Disney Side Quiz’. If you know me at all then there is no surprise that every time I took the quiz I came up with a different Disney Side.
Let me share a couple of my Disney Sides..
Timeless Disney Side
I definitely can relate to this one. My parents visited Disney World in 1972 and the thought is I am the souvenir they came home with. I have always found myself drawn to the classic Disney elements. The original Wonderful World of Disney reruns are still some of my favorite childhood memories.
When I am in the parks I look for the nuances and nods to the past. One of my hobbies is photography and I love capturing these classic elements in pixels. It is fun for me to try to take a photo of a known element from a new angle. There is always something new to discover and a memory to be found of Disney past.
Silly Disney Side
Thank goodness I am the family photographer as there is little documented proof of my silliness in the park. I have been know to join in the parade, tell Daisy I am after her Donald, wear silly hats, sing along with the music… etc.
When I am at Disney I feel like I am 5 years old again and I have no fear and am not self conscious at all. And I love that the sillier I am the more the Cast Members engage with me and there is a tendency for even more silliness.
My favorite silly moment was on our honeymoon when Stitch married us in Tomorrowland. It was a full service and we drew quite the crowd.
Happily-Ever-After Disney Side
This is where it all begins for me. Once upon a time I was a single girl that had given up on finding Prince Charming. I decided to travel to Disney World on my own to experience the magic solo – in the process of researching my trip I stumbled upon a diamond in the rough.
Soon we found ourselves at Disney World having our first date. It was spring and love was in the air. Within 2 years we married, honeymooned at Disney World, had our 1st Anniversary at Disney World, and began a family of our own.
Without this Disney Side I would not have my family and that is my Best Side.
As you can see my Disney Side is just who I am and preserving it is what I am passionate about. It is why I have a scrapbooking themed site. I want to preserve those timeless, silly, and happily-ever-after moments so I will always have them with me.
